Why women need their own genomics panel
Most PRS models were built primarily on UK Biobank data — which skews 94% white British and historically male-heavy. Conditions that affect only women (endometriosis, PCOS) were dramatically underpowered in genomics research for decades. Endometriosis takes an average of 7–10 years to diagnose from symptom onset. Genetic data will not replace that process — but it can accelerate it.
How these four findings interact
Endometriosis and PCOS share overlapping WNT pathway and metabolic genetics. Osteoporosis risk is directly modulated by your predicted estrogen exposure window — which is why the menopause timing panel is essential context for the bone density panel. These four conditions are not independent. AuraGen presents them as an integrated hormonal health narrative.
