Why genetic compatibility?
Thirty years of peer-reviewed research shows that variation in HLA immune loci, neurochemical bonding circuits, and olfactory receptors all contribute to mate-choice preference and long-term relationship satisfaction. No single locus predicts compatibility with certainty -- but 22 loci across four biological systems produce meaningful directional signals that go far beyond personality questionnaires.
How GeneMATCH™ connects to AuraMatch
Your GeneMATCH™ profile is the key to AuraMatch -- the world's first blind genetic compatibility dating platform. No photos. No face-based algorithms. Users are matched by genomic compatibility alone, then choose when and how to reveal more about themselves. Visit auramatch-ashen.vercel.app to join the waitlist.
OR gene coverage -- an honest note
The four olfactory receptor loci (OR13A1, OR13C2, OR2M3, OR6A2) are callable from WES but OR genes have higher GC content than average exonic regions. Coverage at standard 80x WES depth is generally adequate. We confirm OR locus coverage with our lab partner on a per-sample basis and flag any below-threshold loci in the report.
